Spencerport Baseball and Softball Volunteer Coaches,

We thank you for volunteering to coach during the 2025 Baseball & Softball Season.

We wanted to give you a date to put on your calendar. On Sunday, April 6th (11am-3pm) there will be a mandatory coach training program at Cosgrove Middle School (Library, Gym, Cafeteria). The program agenda includes:

- Skills and Drills Clinic w/ Spencerport Varsity Baseball Coach (Larry Frisa)
- Review of Safety & First Aid
- Review of Coaching Expectations
- 30-45 min CPR/AED Training

A pizza lunch will be provided.

We value your time, we've put together a great program and we know you'll find it valuable. It is the expectation that all coaches (head coaches and assistants) attend this training, as it is a necessary requirement for our programs to use school and town fields. If you know you will be unable to make the training, please reach out to me as soon as possible.

Coaching Clinic

Prior to the Spring Season, Spencerport Junior Baseball and Softball provides a mandatory coaches clinic for all volunteers which includes the following...

Safety and Awareness Training including key first aid information from a licensed PT
Overview coaching/volunteer expectations
Overview of rules, guidelines and policies
Meet and greet board members
Information on building a practice plan
Information on managing games

The coaching clinic is typically held in the beginning of April prior to the start of the spring season. Specific time and locations will be communicate via email and/or posted to the home page of this website.
